Tested in dogs, cats, pigs, mice, mongooses, raccoons, raccoon dogs, skunks for safety and seroconversion in addition to the safety studies already conducted for the less attenuated parent SAD B19 strain (Fuchsoral) on rats, cattles, ferrets, magpies, martens, minks, pigeons, sibling voles, wood mice and non-human primates; chimpanzees and baboons.

Even passed the highest safety test on immunocompromised mice.
The chimpanzees and baboons given the vaccine showed good immune response without adverse effects.

The vaccine virus is not actively shed in the saliva, urine or faeces of the vaccinated animal. Hence there is no spread of the virus in the environment or horizontal transmission.

Repeated testing through serial and back passaging, Rabitec shows no changes demonstrating safe and stable vaccine.
