It’s distributed using SURVIS, a GPS-guided aerial delivery system developed by Ceva that ensures fast, precise bait drops at scale.
Rabitec meets the requirements of the European Pharmacopoeia
(Monograph No. 0746/2014) for oral rabies vaccines.
It’s been proven to:

FAQs
Rabitec (wildlife) is an oral rabies vaccine for wildlife. It comes in the form of an edible bait designed to immunize wildlife, specifically foxes and raccoon dogs.
It contains a attenuated rabies vaccine strain SPBNGASGAS. When animals eat the bait, the vaccine triggers an immune response that protects them from rabies.
Rabitec wildlife is targeted at foxes and raccoon dogs, the main terrestrial carriers of rabies in Europe. It is not intended for use in humans or livestock
It’s considered safe for pets. Rabitec is not harmful if handled or accidentally consumed.

The vaccine construct (SPBN GASGAS) is the same in both but the dose, sachet size and bait material are different, tailored to suit target species.
